Hello Autumn! The new season signals the end of (a glorious!) summer but brings some exciting new seasonal food to the fore. The crisp mornings, the golden leaves and the darker evenings entice us to crave heartier foods, such as slow-cooked meat and seasonal veg with tasty sauces, or steak pies with a flaky crust, oozing with a red wine gravy.

To mark the turn of the season, we’ve had a think about what some of our favourite go to choices are in autumn, which means flavours are at their best. We like to include butternut squash, leeks, peppers and buttered greens in our menus where possible, these are all at their peak at this time of year. Here’s some of our Autumn favourites:

You can enjoy our smoked salmon canapes as part of our finger buffet menu as its still at its best through September. And even better served with a glass of something cold and fizzy!

Our vegetarian stuffed peppers or vegetable goulash are great hot fork menu options as they jam packed full of tasty seasonal veg.

Apples are harvested at this time of year, who can resist an apple pie with cream for dessert? Or what about coupled with seasonal blackberries – an apple and blackberry crumble can’t be beaten as the cold nights draw in!
